How to request a mobile app for an Stova event

The Stova mobile app platform has many options for enhancing the event experience for your attendees.

The event app can provide event information to your attendees, such as general info, maps, venue floorplans, creating their own agenda (from your event sessions), session info, speaker info.

The event app can facilitate interaction between you, your speakers, or other attendees with “Ask a Question” feature, Chat, Session Rating, and Request a Meeting (for networking).

And you can even add a little fun to your event with a Scavenger Hunt, Social Media, Photo and Social Sharing.

Plus, there are many ways of sending your attendees messages – pre-, during-, or post-event. Or allowing attendees to message each other.

The event app can be open to the public or private (requiring a login to access).

Cost

There are fees for producing a mobile app. There are three options.

ASU Events container app

You can host your event app in the ASU Special Events container app. The container app is an app that hosts many events at the same time.

The fee is $950* per event app.

New container app¹

We can create a new container app for your own unit, program, or events. The container would be branded specifically for your needs and hosted in the app stores. Then each new event app for your unit would be hosted in your own container app.

The fee would be $4000* for the initial set-up and includes the first event app. Afterwards, each new event app hosted in your container would be $950* per event app.

Standalone app¹

The other option is to have a standalone app – an app hosted by itself in the app stores

The fee for a standalone app is $4,000*.

Monetizing the event app

The mobile app also offers a number of ways for you to monetize your app.

So if paying for a event app was not in your budget or couldn’t be covered by conference fees, you could find sponsors or partners who would pay to have a logo on the event splashscreen, banner ads, etc.

Request an Event App or more information regarding Stova mobile apps

Contact the Office of University Events & Protocol (OUEP) to request an event app, or request more information, at aventri@asu.edu.

Units interested in mobile app development are encouraged to contact OUEP as soon as possible - even while the Stova event registration site is being developed - in order to have plenty of time to design and test the mobile app before deployment.
